Dr. Allison Stead, DVM
Veterinarian
Dr. Allison Morse (Schultz) Stead graduated from Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine in 1990 and has been practicing small animal medicine in the north Dallas area for over 30 years. Dr. Stead worked in a large six-doctor practice in Plano for many years, as well as working at an emergency clinic. She was the lead veterinarian for the City of Plano Animal Shelter providing surgical and medical needs for the shelter animals. She opened The Animal Hospital of Celina in 2004.
Dr. Stead’s areas of interest are surgery, feline medicine, and veterinary practice management. Dr. Stead loves talking with clients and providing a personal touch through both client communication and excellent patient care.
She has 3 children. Kaylyn Schultz Appleyard is married, and lives and works in Waco after receiving her bachelor’s and master’s degree from Baylor University. Lauren Schultz graduated from the United States Military Academy at West Point. She is in graduate school currently. Travis Stead is a small business manager in New Orleans. Dr. Stead has 3 cats, Howard (pictured here), Bunny, and Norman, a Ragdoll cat. She has one dog, a little mixed breed, named Thomas J. Dr. Stead loves to read, work on her little farm, and travel.
